Yealink Desk Phone
- Audio issues of Yealink desk phones may be caused by faulty hardware or Quality of Service related issues.
- Follow the troubleshooting steps below depending on which part where the issue is encountered:
Handset
- Ensure that the handset mode is activated
- Make sure the peripherals are properly connected to the device
- Check the handset if the volume is adjusted to an appropriate level
- If possible, use a spare handset (same phone model) to isolate the issue further
- Place a test call and switch to speaker/built-in earpiece during the call. Observe for any call quality issue.
- If the audio is working while on speaker mode, it is possible that the handset port of the phone is broken.
- If there's no audio after switching to speaker during the call, the phone has a Quality of Service issue.
Headset
- Check if the headset cord is fully connected to the headset jack on the phone
- Ensure that headset mode is activated.
- Check if the headset volume is adjusted to an appropriate level.
- If possible, use a spare, compatible headset to isolate the issue further
- If the audio is working on the spare headset, it is possible that the original headset of the phone is broken. Please contact the manufacturer of the headset for further troubleshooting.
- If there's no audio after using the spare headset or switching to speaker during the call, the phone has a Quality of Service issue.
Speaker
- From Home view, select More > Menu > Basic > Sound > Ringtone, and ensure that it is not set to Silent Ring
- Select a different ringtone, then press Play.
- Do a test call and make sure that the phone is not on DND (Do Not Disturb).
If the Yealink ringer volume is still inaudible, there is a possibility the speaker function of the phone is broken.
