How to Get Notified of Incoming Texts in ConnectUC
ConnectUC can alert you when an SMS arrives via desktop, web, or mobile by enabling notifications at the app, browser, and operating system levels.
ConnectUC Mobile
On mobile, you can adjust SMS alerts under Preferences → Notifications to enable sounds, vibrations, banners, or badges
- Open the ConnectUC app.
- Tap the user icon in the top-right corner.
- Choose Preferences → Notifications.
- Under the SMS section, toggle on sound, vibration, or banner alerts.
ConnectUC Web & Desktop
In the ConnectUC Web app and the Desktop client, you must allow both site-level (for Web) and OS-level (for Desktop) notifications to see pop-ups and hear sounds
- Browser Notifications (Web):
- When you first log in, accept the “Allow notifications” prompt.
- If you missed it:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Site Settings → Notifications → add “https://connectuc.io” as allowed.
- Safari: Preferences → Websites → Notifications → set connectuc.io to “Allow.”
- Operating System Notifications (Web & Desktop):
- Windows: Settings → System → Notifications & actions → turn on ConnectUC or ConnectUC Desktop.
- macOS: System Settings → Notifications & Focus → find ConnectUC or ConnectUC Desktop → enable “Allow notifications.”
Once both browser/site and OS-level notifications are on, incoming texts will trigger your chosen alert style—banners, sounds, or badges—so you never miss an SMS.
